Online Therapy in Florida

A place to be supported, wherever you are in your season of life.

I’m Susan Hea Jin Ko. I work with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, pregnancy, postpartum changes, the demands of motherhood, and the feeling of carrying too much on their own.

Florida clients can meet with me online through my Florida out-of-state telehealth provider registration. You can begin with a conversation about what you need and whether we’re a good fit.

Florida telehealth details

What to know before we meet

Am I able to see you in Florida?

Yes. I provide online services to clients physically located in Florida under Florida Out-of-State Telehealth Provider Registration #TPMF1569. This is a telehealth registration, not a Florida LMFT license. My LMFT licenses are California #132261 and Colorado #MFT.0002980.

Are appointments in person?

Florida appointments are online. You’ll need a reliable internet connection and a private place where you can speak comfortably. We’ll discuss how sessions work during your consultation.

What if I travel?

Please tell me before an appointment if you will be outside Florida. I also serve clients physically located in California and Colorado, but we need to confirm whether a session can take place wherever you’ll be that day.

How do scheduling and time zones work?

We’ll confirm your time zone and appointment time when scheduling. Florida spans more than one time zone, so please check the time shown in your appointment confirmation.

What are the fees and insurance options?

Individual therapy is $180 per 50-minute session. New private-pay clients are welcome. Insurance billing is handled through Headway. In Florida, I accept Aetna, Carelon Behavioral Health, United Healthcare/Optum/Oscar, and Providence Health Plan. Please confirm coverage and benefits for your specific plan before your first appointment.

A limited number of reduced-fee appointments may be available. I can also provide superbills for potential out-of-network reimbursement, which is not guaranteed. Read the full fees and insurance information.

Do I have to be a mom?

No. Although motherhood and perinatal mental health are central to my work, you’re welcome to ask about support for anxiety, identity, relationships, and life transitions. The consultation helps us decide whether my practice fits your needs.

Meet Susan

I’m a therapist, mom, and Korean American. My style is warm, conversational, and active: we can slow down the moments that feel difficult and explore what you need, including the cultural and family expectations you may be carrying.

My work draws on CBT, DBT-informed skills, mindfulness, IFS, and ACT. Your goals and what you need from therapy guide how we work together, with room to adjust along the way. I have advanced training in perinatal mental health and am pursuing the PMH-C credential.
